Jordan Peele’s Us

Jordan Peele’s eagerly anticipated follow up to his film debut (Get Out) came out this weekend, and Us looks like it’s going to be a groundbreaking film. I was privileged to serve on the music team under composer Michael Abels, who conceived a phenomenal score with a completely unique and spellbinding flavor. Even if you’re not a horror fan, I recommend you go and see it for some amazing artistry.

I also think the sound of this film is destined to be a template and influence for many films to come. Already I’ve heard of several directors working on horror films, who are asking their composers to reference the sound of Us. That’s a telling sign.

Here is a link to the entire score.

I received this in an email from @SheetMusicDir and I can’t decide whether I’m a little offended they had to include the footnote.

So. I've got some news. Something new on my plate. And it involves @The_SCL. I'm really excited for this next chapter in the journey:

I applaud @NI_News for this open community update on their current product line and roadmap for the future. As someone who uses Kontakt on a daily basis, this is really exciting:

Curious to see where this ends up. Desert island selection, and you can only listen to one, and the other doesn’t exist:
