My latest choral composition is a tone poem for SATB choir a cappella, a sensitive setting of a poem by Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) entitled “I Shall Know Why.”
I shall know why-when Time is over–
And I have ceased to wonder why–
Christ will explain each separate anguish
In the fair schoolroom of the sky–
He will tell me what “Peter” promised–
And I–for wonder at his woe–
I shall forget the drop of Anguish
That scalds me now–that scalds me now!

A piano reduction is available for listening:
Can only be Ravel, but at least give me the right not to hear Bolero on loop https://t.co/c33VNAsOqj
A short little #orchestral #tango I wrote, inspired by my childhood Argentinian piano teacher. https://t.co/dJ1NUXiSsi
Don’t think there are any others besides obviously Love Me Do and Piano Man. https://t.co/CPqjRzEv5V
Clever, but he could stand to learn how to use a simple 8va mark https://t.co/0a9Urp0Sai
