Jordan Peele’s eagerly anticipated follow up to his film debut (Get Out) came out this weekend, and Us looks like it’s going to be a groundbreaking film. I was privileged to serve on the music team under composer Michael Abels, who conceived a phenomenal score with a completely unique and spellbinding flavor. Even if you’re not a horror fan, I recommend you go and see it for some amazing artistry.
I also think the sound of this film is destined to be a template and influence for many films to come. Already I’ve heard of several directors working on horror films, who are asking their composers to reference the sound of Us. That’s a telling sign.

I'm working on a massive YouTube comparison of choir sample libraries. Name some that you think I should include (both free and commercial). https://t.co/UV5e1pUfcs

Can only be Ravel, but at least give me the right not to hear Bolero on loop https://t.co/c33VNAsOqj
