MOTU Clinic on Modern Music Production

MOTU Clinic on Modern Music Production

At the 2015 Winter NAMM trade show in Anaheim, CA, I gave a presentation on modern music production techniques for MOTU, makers of the digital audio workstation Digital Performer, MachFive, numerous high-end audio and MIDI interfaces, and more. In the thirty-minute clinic, I showed an actual session I worked on, a song I co-wrote and produced for Rachael Yamagata. More details on this song are published here. Over the course of thirty-minutes, I break down the song and reassemble it, part by part, demonstrating the compositional, editing, mixing, and production techniques that brought it together.

The clinic has now been posted for viewing at YouTube:

Wow, this new #MacPro is cheap!! I can't decide if I should get 2 or 3...or see if I can rack-mount my new composing rig into a Tesla then put it into a SpaceX rocket and compose from Mars. daviddas photo
