Acoustic Legends HD

Acoustic Legends HD

In my first commercial foray into the world of virtual instruments, I’ve just finished producing Vir2 Instruments’ Acoustic Legends HD sample library. This product is a collection of meticulously sampled acoustic guitars, recorded at 24-bit 96KHz, and played by Los Angeles guitarist Michael Elsner. We recorded a large collection of guitars: Martins, Taylors, Gibsons, 6-strings, 12-strings, single notes, chords, various articulations, and so on. In total, 19GB of sample content made it into the library, and it’s bundled with the Native Instruments Kontakt Player. I’ve personally ended up using Acoustic Legends HD a great deal in my own music, especially when the production calls for finger-picking, which it’s able to pull off extremely well.

Have a listen to a demo here:

Here’s what Vir2 has to say about it:

Presenting $40,000 of the finest acoustic guitars in the world, sampled in glorious high definition 24-bit 96kHz stereo, now available in this premium three-DVD, 19 gigabyte collection. This broad collection of acoustic guitars is sampled in the finest detail in a variety of playing styles, including picked notes, finger picked notes, natural and artificial harmonics, harmonic chords, mutes, chords, release layers, and even fret noise sampled for each guitar.

Included in the library are several different steel string guitars, nylon strings, twelve strings, acoustic bass, as well as a bonus folder featuring mandolin, ukulele, and banjo. Acoustic Legends HD features the world’s best guitars from McPherson, Taylor, Gibson, Martin, and other manufacturers.

Also featured are numerous bonus patches of special effects, doubled guitars, and more. Acoustic Legends HD also features chord banks containing twelve different chord types in varying positions, with multiple velocity layers and multiple takes per layer, and with both up-strokes and down-strokes, making it simple to create fully authentic rhythm guitar parts. Experience legendary acoustic guitars, sampled in gorgeous detail and now available in one exquisite virtual instrument.

New: The #AI lawsuit that's shaking up the music world. This new frontier of #GenerativeAI music is being pushed by #Suno and #Udio, but there are serious concerns. https://youtu.be/Hy8Or6af98c

ICYMI: 1 of my most popular #choral arrs ever is this SAB of Pierre Passereau's playful Il Est Bel Et Bon (16th century). Traditionally 4-part SATB, Perfect for emerging choirs to tackle vocal technique & part independence. #choir

New from me: what is going on with @Adobe, @Dropbox, and the future of online #privacy? It concerns every one of us:

I think it’s safe to say when Instagram tries to launch their nth new feature copied from another rival platform, their chances of success now become 1/n.

An interesting comment in light of the fact that the work of millions of human creators has been vacuumed up by OpenAI without consent or compensation.

Happy birthday to this dude (@aaronscottlazar) who is working on a project of a lifetime in the middle of a battle of a lifetime and is making everyone stronger for it. Thank you for being in my life bro and so glad we get to make some magical music together. @youralsnetwork
