Scoring Two Petco Commercials
PetCo has initiated a series of new commercials highlighting true stories of animal lovers and the things they’ve been through. I scored two of them. The first, titled Kat and Her Adopted Family, features an instrumental song of mine centered around acoustic guitar and string quartet.
And the second chronicles a Petco groomer discovering a dog’s cancer. It’s always a challenging to balance the seriousness and tragedy without letting it weigh the commercial down, and to provide a respite from the sadness.

An important career PSA for my fellow musicians: tell people about your passions. Tell people about your goals. Do not be shy about the gigs you dream about. You never know who has the ability to put you on a path that accomplishes them, if they were made aware.
